Actively involved in the protection of the environment since 1961

As a group we are proud to be recognized worldwide not only for the design and manufacturing of exclusive architectural surfaces, but also for our active involvement in the protection of the environment.

Respecting and protecting nature has been an important part of Fiandre’s Group corporate philosophy since the startup of our company in 1961, in the town of Castellarano, Italy, before environmental responsibility was ever mandated.

Today, we continue our extraordinary environmental commitment and stewardship at our state-of-the-art production facilities located in Italy, Germany, and the United States.

All natural products

Our products are sustainable, green, and environmentally-friendly. They are clean and free of artificial substances. Our products include no sealants, no waxes, no epoxies or man-made binders and no artificial coloring agents. They have no artificial component releasing volatile organic compound (VOCs) and therefore contribute to a healthier indoor environment

Sustainable processes

Our environmental management system measures and manages production processes, logistics, maintenance, microclimate, water cycle, wastes, internal recycling, energy consumption, and characteristics of the production site.

Certifications

Since 1995, Fiandre’s European facilities have operated under the strict guidelines of UNI EN ISO 9001 Quality Management System. We hold the European Union Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) designation for exceeding minimum legal compliance and continuously improving environmental performance.

On September 12, 2000, we became the first porcelain tile manufacturer in the world to achieve the specific requirements of UNI EN ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.

In 2003, our Legacy of Green continued with the Fiandre Group’s construction of a new facility in Cumberland County, Tennessee, utilizing state-of-the-art environmental technology that ensured a sustainable manufacturing process from the beginning of the plant’s operation.

People

Our environmental legacy is embraced by our people. Everyone at Fiandre – including staff and contractors – adhere to our environmental values and practices.
