Fiandre, part of the Iris Ceramica Group, presents a Ceramic Atelier in Booth 3609 at Coverings ‘19 representing Italy’s long history and rich tradition of ceramics and quality craftsmanship that is revered all over the world. The intricate artistry of Italian ceramics has made it famous for centuries and today, Italy is a world leader in porcelain and ceramics production. In the 1960’s and 1970’s, the ceramics industry started booming in the center of the Italian tile industry in the provinces of Modena and Reggio Emilia where the Iris Ceramica Group originated.
The booth space recalls Italian vintage ceramic workshops or fabbriche with wood work tops on the islands and the Magneto Silver tile on the floor balances the old world with contemporary style. The booth’s dramatic portico is surrounded in the elegance of Sahara Noir on the 10 archways and is complimented by the ancient style marble look floor in Calacatta Macchia Vecchia.
The booth exterior showcases 120×60 large format panels of Sahara Noir on one side and Magneto Carbon on the other side. A fireplace feature wall highlights a mix of contemporary colors: Magneto Silver on the floor and wall base, Magneto Corten on the fireplace surround and Color Studio Brown on the background wall. The Magneto tiles are metallic finishes in rough surface concrete looks available in six colors.
Sahara Noir, the latest elegant black marble look in the Marmi Maximum collection, plays a major role in Fiandre’s booth. Nothing is more intriguing than black, yet the extraordinary veins are what make this ultra-refined product so precious and recognizable. The warm and pale streaks of Sahara Noir create subtle plays of light and shadows, which increase in intensity with the matte or polished finishes. Impeccable taste, rare elegance and a fascinating exotic look define rooms designed with Sahara Noir.
The heritage of Italian ceramics extends to America with the evolution of ceramics production in the U.S. market. As a tribute to the future of ceramics in the U.S. and a nod to the company’s U.S. headquarters in Chicago, the city’s skyline appears on the Design Your Slab (DYS) background wall. Fiandre’s Design Your Slab service where you can apply any image or illustration to large size ceramics offering unique personalization, on-demand, bringing every idea to life.
Fiandre will be also unveiling a new line of refined Marble look Slabs entirely produced in the US. The Royal Marble Collection includes 7 unique color shades from bright white to deep grey, each one in two finishes: polished and honed.
